If you launch the same ad in Danish, German, French, and English, you already know the painful part: the copy lives in one sheet row, but the creatives live in Bynder. Someone still has to paste every asset URL into the right language column.
That step is gone.
Paste the Bynder collection once. If the filenames include a language code, AdManage puts each creative on the matching language and keeps the row as one multi-language ad.
Sample template sheet
Copy this row into a new Google Sheet, or download the CSV and import it.
- Open https://sheets.new (creates a blank sheet).
- File → Import → Upload the CSV below. Choose Replace spreadsheet.
- Replace the Bynder URL with your collection. Leave the language media columns empty.
- Open the AdManage Google Sheets add-on and launch as usual.
| Column | Sample value |
|---|---|
| Row Type | single |
| Ad Name | Summer Sale — Multi-language |
| Media URLs | https://your-brand.bynder.com/collections/PASTE-COLLECTION-ID |
| Headline | Shop the summer sale |
| Primary Text | New season styles, same everyday prices. |
| CTA | SHOP_NOW |
| Link | https://admanage.ai |
| Multi-Language Enabled | Yes |
| Default Language | en_US |
| Primary Text (Danish) |
Name the files in that collection summer-sale_DK.jpg, summer-sale_DE.jpg, and summer-sale_FR.jpg. After import, those land in Danish Media, German Media, and French Media.
You can also start from the add-on: Create → Multi-Language sample, then swap Media URLs for your Bynder collection and clear the language media columns.
What changed
Before, a Bynder collection in Media URLs became one row per file. Every language got the same text, and you had to move each image by hand.
Now, if that row already has localized copy (for example Primary Text (Danish) and Primary Text (German)), and the files have locale codes in the name, we keep one row and fill the language media columns for you.
| Filename | Lands in |
|---|---|
hero_DK.jpg or hero_DA.jpg | Danish Media |
hero_DE.jpg | German Media |
hero_FR.jpg | French Media |
hero_EN-GB.jpg | English (UK) Media, or Media URLs if that is your default language |
Codes like dk, da, danish, de, en, gb, and en-GB all work. Put them as a standalone token in the name: summer-sale_DK.jpg, summer-sale (DE).jpg, or DK_summer-sale.jpg.
How to use it
- Use the multi-language sheet layout:
Multi-Language Enabled,Default Language, and copy columns likePrimary Text (Danish)andHeadline (German). - Write the localized copy in those columns, the same way you do today.
- Name each Bynder file with a language code.
- Put every language variant in one Bynder collection.
- Paste that collection URL into
Media URLson the row. - Launch from the AdManage Google Sheets add-on as usual.
You do not paste per-asset links. You do not click Auto-map. You do not split the ad into one row per country.
What you will see after import
One sheet row stays one ad. Danish copy stays with the Danish creative. German copy stays with the German creative. In Launch, the multi-language media slots are already filled.
A few guardrails so nothing silent goes wrong:
- No language codes in the filenames? We keep the old behavior and create one row per file. That way a normal collection of untagged images does not get forced into language slots.
- A file has no matching language on the row? It stays in
Media URLs, and you get a warning. - Two files match the same language? The first one wins, and you get a warning so you can fix the extra file.
What this does not do (yet)
- Bynder only. A Dropbox, Drive, SharePoint, or Canva folder still expands to one row per file.
- We do not group by aspect ratio (
9x16vs1x1). Use separate collections or rows if you need that. - This is for the one-row multi-language sheet (copy columns per language). It does not join assets onto a sheet that already has one row per locale.
Why this matters
International teams were spending launch time on copy-paste: collection to sheet, file to language, check the preview, fix the one that landed on the wrong row.
Name the files once in Bynder. Paste the collection. The languages line up.
If a match looks off, check the filename token and the language columns on that row, then re-upload the sheet. Questions? Message us in Slack or in-app and we will take a look.
