Selected clip duration = end time − start timeHow to use this video trimmer
- Choose a supported video up to 50 MiB and two minutes long.
- Enter start and end seconds. Leave the end blank to use the end of the source, and optionally remove audio.
- Process the selected range, check the returned preview and measured duration, then download the MP4.
Worked example
To keep the section from 3.5 seconds to 8 seconds, enter 3.5 as the start and 8 as the end. The selected span is 4.5 seconds. The server decodes and re-encodes that range; the final container duration can differ slightly because video frames and encoded audio have discrete timing.
Trim the opening, ending or a section in the middle
Use start and end points to remove a long introduction, isolate a product demonstration or prepare a shorter version of an existing creative. The tool keeps one continuous section. It does not merge separate clips, remove a middle section while joining the rest, or create a full multi-track editing timeline.
A time-based trim with a new MP4 encode
The server re-encodes the selected range to H.264/AAC MP4 at 30 fps, with a maximum 1920-pixel long edge and no upscaling. This avoids presenting a keyframe-only copy as an exact cut. The chosen range follows frame granularity; it is not a sample-accurate audio editor or a promise of lossless video preservation.
Keep or remove the source audio
By default, the first available audio stream is encoded into AAC. Select remove audio for a silent export, such as a clip that will receive a separate voiceover or soundtrack. Other audio tracks, subtitles, chapters and original metadata are not carried into this simple export. Review the returned file before replacing your source in a workflow.

Common questions
How do I trim a video without installing software?
Choose a supported file, set the range and start processing. The page sends the file to the media API and returns a downloadable MP4. The browser provides the input and output previews; no editor installation or large browser encoder is required.
Can I enter fractions of a second?
Yes. Decimal seconds such as 3.5 are accepted. The start must precede the end and both must be within the source. Actual cuts follow encoded video-frame timing, so the output duration can differ slightly from the arithmetic span.
Does trimming keep the original resolution and codec?
This tool produces a compatible H.264/AAC MP4 rather than copying every source stream. It preserves the frame shape, rounds dimensions for encoding and caps the long edge at 1920 pixels. Smaller sources are not enlarged. A new encode can change picture quality.
What happens to my uploaded file?
It is used as a temporary processing input and is not added to your library. Server files are deleted after the response or failure, with stale-file sweeping for abandoned work. Inputs are limited to 50 MiB, two minutes, standard dynamic range and the supported frame/codec limits shown above.
