AdManage launches into Google Ads the same way it launches into Meta and TikTok: pick a destination, fill a table of ad copy, attach your media, and launch the whole batch at once. This guide covers connecting your account, what each campaign type needs, and the limits Google enforces.
What you can launch
AdManage supports five Google Ads campaign types:
| Campaign type | Ads go into | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Performance Max | Asset groups | No individual ad entity. AdManage can create a new asset group on launch. |
| Demand Gen | Ad groups | Picks a video or image ad automatically based on the media you attach. |
| App (UAC) | Ad groups | Requires mandatory ad text. Supports HTML5 playable bundles. |
| Display | Ad groups | Responsive display ads. |
| Search | Ad groups | Responsive search ads, plus keywords and extensions. |
Connect your Google Ads account
1. Open Connect → Ad Channels
Click Connect in the left sidebar. The Ad Channels page lists every platform your team can launch through, with the Google Ads card marked Beta.
2. Click Connect on the Google Ads card
You'll be asked to choose which Google permissions to grant. AdManage requests Google Ads, Google Drive, and YouTube so it can launch ads, pull creative from Drive, and upload videos to YouTube. Click Continue to sign in with Google.
3. Add the ad account you want to launch into
In Connected ad accounts, click Add account, find your account, and click Add.
Pick a customer account, not a Manager (MCC). Manager accounts don't run ads of their own, so connecting one won't expose any campaigns or metrics. Accounts marked Manager are listed for navigation only.
Launch your ads
1. Open Launch and select your Google Ads account
Go to Launch → Ad Launcher and pick your Google Ads account from the Ad Account dropdown at the top. The page switches to the Google Ads launch table automatically.
Each row in the table is one ad. Use Add New Row to add more, or Duplicate to copy the rows you've already set up.
2. Pick your campaign
Click Select campaign in the Destination column. Use the tabs at the top to filter by type, and the counts show how many campaigns of each type are in the account. You can also click + Create new campaign to build one without leaving AdManage.
3. Pick your ad group or asset group
Choose an existing ad group, or let AdManage create one for you. On Performance Max the second step is Asset group instead, and Create new asset group on launch will build a fresh one when you launch.
Each row tells you exactly what it still needs before it can launch.
4. Fill in your ad copy
Type directly into the table, or select your rows and click Bulk edit to apply the same final URL, business name, headlines, and descriptions across all of them at once. Only the fields you fill in get changed.
Use the { } builder next to Final URL to append UTM parameters from a template.
5. Attach your images and logos
Click Load Image or Load Logo on a row. You can pull creative from your Media Library, existing ads, Google Drive, Frame.io, Canva, Box, SharePoint, and more, or upload straight from your computer.
6. Add your videos
Google only accepts videos that already live on YouTube, so AdManage handles the upload for you.
Click Load Video (or Add Videos in gallery mode) and open the YouTube Channel tab. Pick the channel, and any video showing Ready can be added straight to your ad.
7. Upload a new video to YouTube
If the video isn't on YouTube yet, click Upload new and switch to the Upload Video tab. Drop in your files (MP4, WebM, or MOV up to 500 MB each), then choose where they should live:
- Your video ad storage channel, created by YouTube — the default. No personal YouTube channel needed, and AdManage uses the Google-managed channel attached to your Google Ads account. Videos are uploaded as unlisted with limited analytics and editing.
- Your own YouTube channel — full control and analytics on your brand channel. Requires a connected YouTube account.
Use the Title Template field to name uploads automatically, for example {filename}. Then click Upload to YouTube & Add to upload and attach them in one step.
8. Launch
When every row is ready, the button at the bottom reads Launch N Google Ads. If a row is still missing something, the bar shows N of N rows need attention instead, and hovering the launch button tells you which rows are blocking.
Prefer to finish later? Click Save to store it as a draft and pick it up from Launch → Launch Drafts.
9. Track the results
Your batch appears in the Ad Launches tab below the table, with a status of Success or Error per batch. Click View Details on any batch to see exactly what happened, including the error Google returned.
What each ad type needs
Rows won't launch until they meet Google's minimums. These are checked as you type, and gallery mode shows a live count against each limit.
| Headlines | Long headlines | Descriptions | Media | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Performance Max | 3–15 | 1–5 | 2–5 | 1 landscape (1.91:1) + 1 square (1:1) |
| Demand Gen (video) | 1–5 | 1–5 | 1–5 | 1 video + 1 logo |
| Demand Gen (image) | 1–5 | up to 5 | 1–5 | 1 image + 1 logo |
| App (UAC) | 3–5 | — | 2–5 | Optional. Mandatory ad text required. |
| Display | 1–5 | exactly 1 |
Performance Max, Demand Gen, and Display also need a final URL and a business name.
Character limits
| Field | Limit |
|---|---|
| Headline | 30 characters |
| Long headline | 90 characters |
| Description | 90 characters |
| Business name | 25 characters |
| Path 1 / Path 2 (Search) | 15 characters each |
Limits to know
These are Google's limits, not AdManage's.
Videos per ad
| Campaign type | Max videos |
|---|---|
| Performance Max | 15 per asset group |
| App (UAC) | 20 per ad |
| Demand Gen | 5 per ad |
| Display | 5 per ad |
If an ad is already at its limit, AdManage stops before launching and asks you to unlink some videos first. Those videos stay in your Google Ads asset library, they're only removed from that one ad.
Videos must be at least 10 seconds long. Anything shorter is rejected by Google and will block the launch.
Images must use one of these aspect ratios: 1.91:1, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16. Anything else needs cropping first, and AdManage will offer to crop it for you.
Video uploads are capped at 500 MB per file (MP4, WebM, or MOV).
Launching from Google Sheets
If you plan campaigns in a spreadsheet, the AdManage Google Sheets add-on can push rows straight into a Google Ads launch draft. It recognises columns like Campaign Name, Ad Group, Headline 1, Long Headline 1, Description 1, Path 1, Final URL, and Keyword 1, plus sitelinks, callouts, and snippets.
Drive links to images and videos in your sheet are resolved automatically. The draft opens in the launch table, where you can review everything before launching.
See AdManage Google Sheets Addon for setup.
Troubleshooting
"Pick a customer account, not a Manager (MCC)"
You've selected a manager account. Go back and add the individual customer account that actually runs the ads.
A row won't launch and the bar says it needs attention
Hover the row's warning to see the exact list, for example "at least 3 headlines, at least 2 descriptions, a business name". Fill those in and the warning clears.
"This ad is full of videos"
The target ad already has Google's maximum number of videos attached. Remove some from that ad, or pick a different ad group with free slots. This is not a YouTube upload limit.
Videos stuck processing
YouTube is still transcoding. You can launch anyway, AdManage waits for processing to finish before sending the ads to Google.
Campaign is paused
Google may reject new ads in a paused campaign. Activate it first, or create the ads in an active campaign instead.
Still stuck? Message us with your ad account ID and the batch link from Ad Launches and we'll dig in.
Ready to try it? Open AdManage and connect Google Ads from Connect → Ad Channels.
