Black Friday Facebook Ads: 59 Real Ads to Copy in 2026 (Sorted by Format)

Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27. Cyber Monday is November 30. That leaves 28 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and your competitors' Black Friday ads are already running.

Most "best Black Friday ad" lists show ten screenshots from big brands and stop there. They don't tell you how far the ads reached, which format each one used, or how to make your own version.

So we went through AdScan, our ad library. It holds more than 37,600 ads tagged with a Black Friday moment. We picked 59 of them across 14 formats, and for each format we noted the reach Meta published, why the format works, and a template you can brief your team with today.

👉 All 59 ads are on a free public board: Black Friday Ads to Copy (2026). No login needed. Save the ones you like to your own AdScan board.

TL;DR: what last year's best Black Friday ads did differently

  1. They stacked the offer. A plain "30% off" gets lost in a feed full of 50% offs. The ads with the most reach added free gifts, bundle ladders, or one large savings figure ("£1000 off").
  2. They showed money saved, not just a percentage. "Worth £84, yours for £19.50" and "Save up to £858" stand out where everyone else says "up to X%".
  3. They started early. Teasers, VIP lists and "early Black Friday" ads ran from October. Some brands said "Black Friday is live" in September.
  4. Big brands used very little copy. AYBL, L'Occitane, Carhartt WIP and Circulr reached over 1M people each with one line (or no line) over strong visuals.
  5. Creator partnership ads did a lot of the work. Unboxings and testimonials posted from creators' handles were all over the top of the list.
  6. They removed friction. Codes in the headline, links that apply the discount automatically, offers with no code at all.
  7. The winners kept running. Several "Black Friday" ads stayed live for 11+ months because the creative worked whatever the season.

What this means for your creative: most of the sale happens on a phone, it starts weeks before the day itself, and more shoppers now arrive already knowing what they want. Make it 9:16, show the offer in the first second, and launch before your buyers make up their minds.

How we picked these ads

  • Source: AdScan, which indexes Meta (Facebook + Instagram), TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn ads and tags each one by creative format, offer type and seasonal moment.
  • Filter: the `black_friday` and `cyber_monday` seasonal tags, browsed one creative-format tag at a time.
  • Ranking: we preferred ads with a clear Black Friday hook, a recognisable DTC brand, and a published reach figure or strong US rank.
  • A note on reach: Meta only publishes reach for ads delivered in the EU and UK, so the reach numbers below are EU/UK reach. That's why the list leans European. The formats apply everywhere.

The 14 Black Friday ad formats that work (with examples)

1. The offer-led static: one big number

What it is: a bold static image or short loop with one discount as the hero. No story, just the deal.

The offer-led static: Black Friday ad examples from AYBL, Cuts and Craftd. See them all on the free board.
The offer-led static: Black Friday ad examples from AYBL, Cuts and Craftd. See them all on the free board.

Examples on the board

  • AYBL: "Our biggest sale of the year!" Up to 60% off, one line of copy. 2.06M reach. AYBL also ran a 10-second vertical cut of the same creative (991k reach).
  • Cuts Clothing (live now): "Not a Conspiracy. Just 30% Off." This admits Black Friday "really did start early", which is a nice wink at the early-sale trend.
  • Craftd: "GET UP TO 71% OFF TODAY." An odd number like 71% reads as a real markdown, not a marketing round number.

Why it works: in a crowded feed people decide in under a second. One number, high contrast, readable without sound.

Copy template:

Headline: [Our biggest sale of the year] / [X% off. No code needed.] Primary text: one line. Offer → who it's for → deadline.

Spec: 4:5 and 9:16. Put the number in the top third, where the 9:16 safe zone keeps it clear of the UI.

2. The stacked offer: gift with purchase, bundles and voucher-back

What it is: the discount plus something else: a free gift, a bundle ladder, or a voucher for the next order.

The stacked offer: Black Friday ad examples from Eskiin, Kloudy Jewelry, Mother's Earth and Toddla. See them all on the free board.
The stacked offer: Black Friday ad examples from Eskiin, Kloudy Jewelry, Mother's Earth and Toddla. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Eskiin (live now): "Up to 45% off + free gifts + free shipping", backed by a 60-day guarantee and an 8-point benefit checklist.
  • Mother's Earth: a bundle ladder (2+1 / 3+2 / 6+6 free) plus gifts. 119k reach.
  • Kloudy Jewelry: "Any 5 pieces for £34." The build-your-bundle offer raises order value. 970k reach.
  • Grind: "20% off + free £10 gift voucher" on orders over £50. The voucher brings people back for a second order in January.
  • Toddla: 50% off + free fairy lights, a themed gift that fits the season.

Why it works: when every brand says 50% off, the percentage stops standing out. A free gift changes the question from "is this cheap?" to "is this a good deal?", and gifts and bundles protect your margin better than deeper discounts.

Copy template:

[X% off] + [free gift worth £Y] + [free shipping] Then a short benefit checklist, a risk reversal (guarantee/trial), and a deadline.

3. Price-math and "savings figure" statics

What it is: the old price struck through, the new price, and the amount saved in pounds or dollars, usually on one hero product.

Price-math statics: Black Friday ad examples from HexClad, Impress UK and The Scent Reserve. See them all on the free board.
Price-math statics: Black Friday ad examples from HexClad, Impress UK and The Scent Reserve. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • HexClad: "HEXCLAD'S BEST FRIDAY SALE: save up to £858", with a Gordon Ramsay quote. 1.0M reach.
  • Impress: "Straight & white teeth with £1000 discount." It adds £600 off and the extras into one round "£1000". 1.02M reach. It launched on October 22.
  • Scent Reserve: "Save 70% OFF now" on a 4-bottle bundle, using designer-fragrance prices as the anchor (1.19M reach on the creator version).

Why it works: on higher-priced products, an amount saved in money feels more concrete than a percentage. People can picture what £858 buys.

Copy template:

£[old] £[new] · You save £[X] One line of proof (review, quote, award) under it.

4. Single-creator UGC: the creator says the deal

What it is: a creator films with the product, handheld and native to the feed, and says the offer out loud.

Single-creator UGC: Black Friday ad examples from Pott'd and Screwfix. See them all on the free board.
Single-creator UGC: Black Friday ad examples from Pott'd and Screwfix. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Pott'd: "Black November Sales." Hands-on creator video plus fast delivery. 3.93M reach, the highest on the board.
  • Screwfix x JBH Landscapes: a tradesperson creator on site promoting early Black Friday deals in the app (paid partnership). 247k reach.

Why it works: feeds fill with polished sale banners in November. A person talking to camera looks like content, not an ad.

Brief template:

0–2s: hook ("I've been waiting all year for this sale"). 2–15s: the product in use and one specific result. 15–25s: the offer, said out loud and shown on screen, plus the deadline.

Spec: 9:16, subtitles burned in, offer on screen by second 3.

5. Unboxing: "the price has to be a mistake"

What it is: a creator or the brand opens the order on camera, so viewers see exactly what they get.

Unboxing: Black Friday ad examples from Bloom & Wild, Mylee Beauty and Give Me Cosmetics. See them all on the free board.
Unboxing: Black Friday ad examples from Bloom & Wild, Mylee Beauty and Give Me Cosmetics. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Bloom & Wild: a Christmas tree delivered through the letterbox, with 35% off the first order and next-day delivery. 2.04M reach.
  • Mylee: 13 seconds, under 20 words, "Up to 60% off. Across all categories." 859k reach.
  • Give Me Cosmetics (creator): "I thought the price was a mistake", then a £19.50 bundle worth £84 with the maths item by item.

Why it works: it shows the value instead of claiming it. When the bundle is worth more than the price, letting people watch it come out of the box does the persuading.

Hook bank: "I thought this was a pricing error…" / "Everything I got for £[X] this Black Friday" / "Is this bundle actually worth it?"

6. The gift guide

What it is: it positions the product as the answer to "what do I get them?", and Black Friday becomes the moment to buy gifts.

The gift guide: Black Friday ad examples from Sweaty Betty, Abercrombie & Fitch, Only Curls and Worthy Always. See them all on the free board.
The gift guide: Black Friday ad examples from Sweaty Betty, Abercrombie & Fitch, Only Curls and Worthy Always. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Sweaty Betty: a gifting creative with 30% off, linking to a gifts page rather than the full sale. 2.72M reach.
  • Abercrombie & Fitch: "To You, From You." Self-gifting plus 30% off and an extra 15% with a code. 3.22M reach.
  • Only Curls: "stocking filler to luxury set", up to 30% off, linked to a gift guide. 325k reach.
  • Worthy Always: opens with an emotional customer quote, then "50% OFF + free gift box." 593k reach.

Why it works: gift buyers think about how a present will be received, not just its price. And "To You, From You" gives people permission to buy something for themselves.

Copy template:

"The gift they'll actually use" / "To you, from you" Price bands (under £25 / under £50 / luxury), then the offer and the gift-delivery cut-off date.

7. The founder video

What it is: the founder on camera announcing the sale: "This is the biggest discount we've ever done."

The founder video: Black Friday ad examples from Circulr and Evolve Journal. See them all on the free board.
The founder video: Black Friday ad examples from Circulr and Evolve Journal. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Circulr: "50% OFF Today", code BF50. One line of copy; the founder video does the selling. 1.28M reach.
  • Evolve Journal: "Building this since 2019", then over 250 five-star reviews and 30%+ off plus £210 of gifts.

Why it works: "our biggest sale ever" sounds like spin coming from a brand account and believable coming from a person. It also makes a discount feel earned rather than desperate.

Script template:

"I'm [name], I started [brand] in [year] because [problem]. We almost never discount. This week, everything's [X]% off, and here's why…"

8. Before/after proof

What it is: the result shown visually, with the Black Friday offer as the reason to start now.

Before/after proof: Black Friday ad examples from Impress UK and Reenly. See them all on the free board.
Before/after proof: Black Friday ad examples from Impress UK and Reenly. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Impress: smile transformation plus a "£1000 discount". 1.02M reach.
  • Reenly: before/after proof with a "last call" close and an extra 10% (code BFCM10).

Why it works: results products (skincare, haircare, fitness, dental) sell on outcomes. A discount just lowers the cost of starting.

9. The demo

What it is: the product doing the thing it's known for, ideally in under 5 seconds.

The demo: Black Friday ad examples from Our Place and Kloudy Jewelry. See them all on the free board.
The demo: Black Friday ad examples from Our Place and Kloudy Jewelry. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Our Place: food sliding off the pan, then "The Black Friday Sale Is Here" and a 100-day trial. 156k reach.
  • Kloudy Jewelry: pieces styled on camera, then "Hurry! We're selling out fast. Any 5 for £34." 970k reach.

Why it works: a demo answers "does it actually work?" before the discount answers "is now the time?"

10. The contrarian text-only static

What it is: plain text on a plain background. The only hook is the line itself.

The contrarian text-only static: Black Friday ad examples from Vidrate and Cocopup London. See them all on the free board.
The contrarian text-only static: Black Friday ad examples from Vidrate and Cocopup London. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Vidrate: "Everything's 50% off. We'll do 100%." 30 free sachets, first month free. 962k reach.
  • Cocopup London: "Don't miss our final Black Friday offer!", an audience call-out with a link that applies the code automatically.

Why it works: it's the opposite of the red-and-black sale banner everyone else runs. It's also the cheapest format to make, so you can test 20 lines in a day.

Hook bank: "Everyone's doing 50%. We're doing [X]." / "[Audience], stop scrolling." / "We don't do Black Friday. Except this once." / "Not a conspiracy. Just [X]% off."

11. Pattern-breaks: skits, mock apologies and fake newspapers

What it is: a format nobody expects from a sale ad.

Pattern-breaks: Black Friday ad examples from Hotels.com, Only Curls, Coco & Eve and BURGA. See them all on the free board.
Pattern-breaks: Black Friday ad examples from Hotels.com, Only Curls, Coco & Eve and BURGA. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Hotels.com: a newsboy skit ("Extra! Extra!") announcing the Black Friday drop date. 1.03M reach.
  • Only Curls: "Our sincerest apologies…", a mock apology letter with the offer in the image. 214k reach.
  • Coco & Eve: "You + me + 40% OFF = shopping date", written like an organic post. 317k reach.
  • BURGA: 25% off + "secret deals", which uses curiosity rather than a bigger number. 401k reach.

Why it works: stopping the scroll is the hardest part in late November. Familiar formats (a letter, a headline, a text message) get read as content first.

12. High-production, almost no copy

What it is: polished brand footage with five words of copy. This is the big-brand approach.

High-production, almost no copy: Black Friday ad examples from L'OCCITANE en Provence, Carhartt WIP and Triumph. See them all on the free board.
High-production, almost no copy: Black Friday ad examples from L'OCCITANE en Provence, Carhartt WIP and Triumph. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • L'Occitane: "Black Friday", 20% off applied automatically, with footage cut for each placement. 1.69M reach.
  • Carhartt WIP: "Black Friday Starts Now." No percentage at all; the brand's confidence carries it. 588k reach.
  • Triumph: one hero video, "up to 50% off", localised into 9 languages.

Why it works: if you already have brand demand, Black Friday is about reminding people, not persuading them. Keep the creative on brand and let the offer and the timing do the work.

13. Long-copy testimonials and "wall of text"

What it is: a long primary text, often a customer story or an emoji offer stack.

Long copy: Black Friday ad examples from Everdries, Free Soul and Spacegoods. See them all on the free board.
Long copy: Black Friday ad examples from Everdries, Free Soul and Spacegoods. See them all on the free board.

Examples

  • Everdries (creator, live now): "Everdries changed my life", a long testimonial with 50% off and free shipping. US rank #3, still live 11 months later.
  • Free Soul: an emoji offer stack (25% off + free delivery + mystery gift). 414k reach.
  • Spacegoods: an extra 15% off the next 3 months of a subscription. The Black Friday discount pays for retention, not just one order.

Why it works: for considered or problem-solving products, the people who click "see more" are your buyers. Long copy screens for intent.

14. Before and after the day: teasers, early access, countdowns and Cyber Monday

The calendar is a format in itself. The best brands run a different creative for each phase:

Pre-sale (late Oct to mid Nov): build the list

Pre-sale: build the list: Black Friday ad examples from Myprotein, Donotage, Papier and adidas. See them all on the free board.
Pre-sale: build the list: Black Friday ad examples from Myprotein, Donotage, Papier and adidas. See them all on the free board.
  • Myprotein (live now): "SOMETHING BIG IS COMING 02.11.26", a dated teaser a week before launch.
  • Donotage: "Join Our VIP Black Friday List", plus a $150 gift for signing up.
  • Papier: "Sign up to access the Better than Black Friday Sale", early access to up to 35% off.
  • adidas: "Win with your wishlist", a £250 gift-card giveaway that captures intent without discounting. 416k reach.

Sale week: countdown and urgency

Sale week: countdown and urgency: Black Friday ad examples from Snapfish UK and ITS. See them all on the free board.
Sale week: countdown and urgency: Black Friday ad examples from Snapfish UK and ITS. See them all on the free board.
  • Snapfish: "50% OFF Everything! Use code: BLACK25", with the code in the headline.
  • ITS: deals refreshed weekly for 4 weeks, which gives people a reason to come back.

Cyber Monday: its own creative, not an edited Black Friday ad

Cyber Monday: Black Friday ad examples from Fabletics, Four Sigmatic and Cardo Systems. See them all on the free board.
Cyber Monday: Black Friday ad examples from Fabletics, Four Sigmatic and Cardo Systems. See them all on the free board.
  • Fabletics: "Cyber Madness Starts Now." 687k reach.
  • Four Sigmatic: "ENDS IN 24 HOURS: 50% off EVERYTHING."
  • Cardo: "22% off, 24h only." An odd number plus a one-day window.

Why it works: teasers and VIP lists build retargeting audiences cheaply in October, before CPMs rise. On Cyber Monday you're selling to people who've already seen a week of Black Friday offers, so you need a new hook ("last chance", "extended 24h", "deepest offer").

⚠️ Only use real deadlines. If your ad says "ends tonight", set the ad end date to match. People notice "last chance" ads that are still running a week later, and so do regulators.

7 Black Friday ad mistakes to avoid

  1. Launching on Thanksgiving. By then most shoppers have started (84% according to NRF) and CPMs are at their peak.
  2. Running a single creative. Plan at least 3–5 creatives per ad set and rotate in new ones as frequency climbs. Here's how to spot and fix creative fatigue.
  3. Editing live winners during the peak. Large edits reset learning. Duplicate the ad instead of editing it.
  4. Defaulting to the red-and-black "SALE" banner. Everyone runs it. Use a pattern-break format (see #10 and #11).
  5. Fake urgency. Use real scarcity ("first 500 orders") or nothing.
  6. Reusing Black Friday creative for Cyber Monday. Make new creative with a new hook.
  7. Ignoring the people you warmed up. Your October teaser audience is your cheapest Black Friday buyer. Retarget them.

FAQ

When should I start running Black Friday ads?

Start the warm-up (teasers, VIP lists, evergreen creative) in late October or early November, and launch sale creative by mid-November. In the UK Ad Library, more than 50,000 Black Friday ads were live each week from late October 2025 (SociaVault analysis).

What's the best Black Friday ad format on Facebook and Instagram?

No single format wins. The ads with the most reach in our sample were creator UGC (Pott'd, 3.93M), gift-framed brand video (Abercrombie, 3.22M; Sweaty Betty, 2.72M) and one-number offer statics (AYBL, 2.06M). Run 3–4 formats against each other and let Meta's delivery decide.

Should I show a percentage or an amount off?

On products under about £50/$50, a percentage reads faster. On higher-priced products, the amount saved feels bigger ("Save £858"). Stacked offers (discount + gift) beat either one on its own.

Can I reuse last year's Black Friday ads?

Yes, if they worked. Several ads on our board ran for months, and many brands relaunch last year's winners. Update the dates and the offer, keep the hook.

How many creatives do I need for Black Friday?

At least 3–5 per ad set, plus separate creative for the pre-sale, sale week and Cyber Monday phases (more in how many ad creatives to test). In practice that's 10–20 assets. It's a lot to upload by hand, which is why teams use AdManage to bulk-launch them across Meta, TikTok and more in one go.
