Google Ads Transparency Center: how to see any advertiser's Google ads
The Google Ads Transparency Center is what most people mean by the Google ad library. It's a free public site listing ads from verified advertisers across Google's platforms. Here's how to search it and what it leaves out.
How to search it
- Open adstransparency.google.com.
- Search for an advertiser name or a website.
- Pick the region you care about, because results differ by country.
- Filter by date, platform and format, such as text, image or video.
- Open an ad to see its creative, the advertiser's verified name and when it last ran.
What the Transparency Center shows
You can see the ads a verified advertiser has run, its verified name and location, the ad format, the regions it ran in and the date it last showed. It's useful for seeing the messages a competitor is testing on Search and YouTube.
What it leaves out
It doesn't show budgets, keywords, clicks or conversions. Search ads appear without the terms that triggered them, so it won't tell you what a competitor bids on.
Don't treat it as a full history
Only ads from verified advertisers are listed, and older ads drop out over time, while election ads stay longer. Treat it as a view of recent activity, not a complete record of everything an advertiser has run.
Researching competitors across channels
Google shows you what a brand says at the moment someone searches. Its Meta ads usually show how it creates demand. AdManage's free brand pages group Facebook and Instagram ads by format, hook and landing page, so you can compare the two.
