How to Find Your Facebook Ad Account ID (2025)

Can't find your Facebook ad account ID? Get it in seconds with these 4 methods for Meta's 2025 interface. Works for automation, support, agencies.

Nov 28, 2025
Your Facebook ad account ID isn't just a random number. It's the unique identifier that ties everything together when you're setting up automation tools, working with agencies, or troubleshooting with Meta support. Think of it as your ad account's social security number.
And if you can't find it? You're stuck.
We see this constantly at AdManage. Teams come to us ready to automate their ad launching workflow, excited to bulk-launch hundreds of variations with structured naming conventions and UTM enforcement. But then they hit a wall: "Where do I find my ad account ID?"
That's what we're fixing today. This guide walks through exactly where to locate your Facebook ad account ID using Meta's 2025 interface, with multiple methods so you'll never be stuck again.

What Is a Facebook Ad Account ID?

A Facebook ad account ID is a string of numbers that uniquely identifies your advertising account on Meta's platform. It looks something like this: 123456789012345.
This number is fixed. You can't change it. And it's different from:
  • Your personal Facebook profile ID
  • Your Facebook Page ID
  • Your Business Manager ID
  • Your Campaign ID or Ad Set ID
According to Meta's documentation, every advertising account gets its own unique identifier. Whether you're running a personal ad account or managing multiple accounts under Business Manager, each one has a distinct ID.

Why does this matter? Because when Meta support, third-party tools, or your agency partners ask for your ad account ID, they need that exact number to identify the right account. No room for confusion.

Why You Need Your Facebook Ad Account ID

Here's where that ID becomes essential:

Working with Meta Support

Your ad account gets restricted or disabled. You submit an appeal. Meta's support team immediately asks: "What's your ad account ID?"
Without it, resolving issues takes longer. The support team needs to locate your exact account in their system, and when you manage multiple accounts, names alone aren't enough.

Sharing Access with Partners or Agencies

When you work with a marketing agency or consultant, they need access to your ad account. To send a partner request through Business Manager, they'll ask for your ad account ID. This ensures the right account gets shared, especially if you have several accounts with similar names.

Connecting Third-Party Tools

Most advertising platforms and automation tools require your ad account ID to pull data or connect properly.
For example, when you set up AdManage's Google Sheets Add-on to bulk-launch ads or export campaign data, you'll enter your Meta ad account ID (in numeric format). Same goes for analytics dashboards, reporting tools, or workflow automation platforms like Segment or Zapier.
The pattern? If a tool integrates with Facebook Ads, it needs your account ID.

Managing Multiple Ad Accounts

This is where most people get confused.
If you or your business manages several ad accounts, those IDs become critical for differentiation. Account names can be identical ("Brand Ads Account"), but Meta displays the ID next to each name in the interface to avoid mix-ups.
At AdManage, we work with agencies managing 20+ client accounts. Without those IDs clearly labeled and documented, granting access to the wrong account becomes a real risk.

How to Find Your Facebook Ad Account ID: 4 Methods

Let's get to the actual process. We're covering four methods that work with Meta's current interface (as of 2025). Pick whichever feels most natural for your workflow.

Method 1: Check Meta Ads Manager Account Dropdown

This is the fastest approach if you're already working in Ads Manager.
① Open Meta Ads Manager
Log in to Facebook and navigate to Ads Manager. You can access it directly from the URL or click the menu (nine dots in the top-right) and select Ads Manager.
② Locate the Account Dropdown
At the top of the Ads Manager page, you'll see your current ad account name. Next to it is a dropdown arrow. This is the business asset dropdown menu that lets you switch between accounts if you have multiple.
③ Find the ID Next to Your Account Name
Your ad account ID appears right beside the account name in that top menu. You'll see something like:
"My Business Account (ID: 123456789012345)"
Meta's help center confirms that "your ad account name and ID number is shown in the business asset dropdown menu at the top of the page." If you click the dropdown, every account you have access to will show its ID beside the name.
④ Copy the ID
Highlight and copy that number. If you manage multiple accounts, double-check you're copying from the correct one.
Pro tip: This method works for both personal ad accounts and business accounts. If you only have one account, it's selected by default and the ID is immediately visible.

Method 2: Check the URL in Your Browser

Already in Ads Manager? Don't even click around. Just look up.
Step 1 → Go to Ads Manager for the Account
Make sure the account you want is currently selected in Ads Manager.
Step 2 → Examine the Browser's Address Bar
Look at the URL. It's long and contains various parameters. What you're looking for is the part after act=.
The number following act= is your ad account ID. This is the shortest route to find your ID.
For example, the URL might look like:
https://www.facebook.com/adsmanager/manage/campaigns?act=123456789012345&...
In this case, 123456789012345 is the ad account ID.
On the newer business.facebook.com interface, it might appear slightly different:
https://business.facebook.com/adsmanager/account/123456789012345/campaigns...
If your ID were 444555666777888, the URL would contain /adsmanager/account/444555666777888/ in the path.
Step 3 → Copy the ID from the URL
Highlight only the numeric digits. Don't include act= or any other characters.
This method is perfect when you're already working in a campaign and don't want to navigate away.

Method 3: Find Your ID in Meta Business Settings

If you have Business Manager and prefer a centralized view of all your assets, this is your method.
Step 1 → Open Business Settings
From Facebook Business Suite or Business Manager, click the menu (All Tools) and select "Business Settings." You can also go directly to business.facebook.com/settings.

Step 2 → Navigate to Ad Accounts
In the left sidebar under "Accounts," click "Ad Accounts." This displays every ad account your business owns or that you have permission to access.
Step 3 → Select Your Ad Account
Click on the specific ad account you need. The right panel shows account details: name, owner, time zone, currency, and more.
Step 4 → Find the ID in Account Details
Look for "Ad Account ID" in that details panel. Meta typically highlights this in blue, and you can click it to copy the number directly.
You'll see something like:
ID: 123456789012345
If you manage multiple accounts, they'll all be listed here with their IDs visible. This view is useful because you don't need to open Ads Manager at all.

Method 4: Use Meta Business Support Hub

This is an advanced method most people won't use regularly. But if you're already in the support section dealing with account issues, it's helpful to know the ID is right there.
Step 1 → Go to Business Support Home
In Business Manager/Suite, find "Business Support Home" under the menu (sometimes labeled "All tools"). You can also navigate directly via the URL business.facebook.com/business-support-home.
Step 2 → View Account Overview
The support hub shows your business assets and any flagged issues. Under Ad Accounts, click on the account in question.
Step 3 → Find the ID on the Support Page
Once you select the ad account, its name and ID appear at the top left of the screen. Meta displays it clearly because support tickets reference that ID.
If you have multiple accounts, you can switch them from a dropdown at the top-right of Business Support Home, and the ID updates accordingly.

What to Do If You Can't Find Your Ad Account ID

Most of the time, one of those four methods works immediately. But here's what to check if you run into issues:

Make sure you actually have access

You can only see the ad account ID for accounts where you have permissions. If an account isn't showing up in Ads Manager or Business Settings, verify:
  • You're logged into the correct Facebook user
  • Someone granted you at least viewer access to that account
  • The account wasn't removed or deleted

Don't confuse Business ID with Ad Account ID

This is a common mistake. Your Business ID (also called Business Manager ID or Business Portfolio ID) refers to your entire Business Manager entity. It's a different number than your Ad Account ID, which is specific to one advertising account.

If a partner asks for your Business ID (to share access to your entire business), that's not the same as your ad account ID. Provide the right one based on what's requested.

Label your accounts clearly

If you manage many ad accounts, give them distinct names in Business Manager. Meta shows the last four digits of the ID in some dropdowns, but the full numbers are long. Keeping a reference document with account names and IDs prevents mix-ups.
At AdManage, we recommend clients maintain a simple spreadsheet:
